Joining a leading Environmental consultancy, with an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high profile projects, this role reports into the Principal Ecologist, who also leads the Derby office.
Managing large and small scale projects, the role will be a combination of field and office based activities. You'll have the opportunity to act as named ecologist on European Protected Species development licences, supporting the Principal with team management, writing EIA and ES chapters. The role will also involve conducting Phase I investigations, writing reports, undertaking survey work and contributing to marketing an development. A great development opportunity for an experienced Ecologist, or Senior looking for a sideways step.
You'll be a skilled and qualified Ecologist with UK consultancy experience a must. Essential and desirable skills and experience include:
- Project management and budget management experience
- 2 protected species licences - ideally at least one of Bat or GCN licences
- Phase I experience
- Experience of writing technical reports and EIA and ES chapters
- a full UK driving licence and availability to work away from home as survey season requires
